1. What is restore function for?
Restore option bring you back in same point in which you open your app for last time. Why in the moment in which you open? Because your game status is saved at server at connection (except for breeding which is made in real time).
You can use this option if you were pushed (or accidentally did) to delete your app from your device. It will bring you your game data back in app.
It’s also useful in case if you did sale some fish by accident or maybe bought more than you wished etc., then you could, before you close your app, use restore function to get back into same point on which you opened your app in this session (it would work only if you wasn’t close your app).
Also in some cases it’s needed to restore after you moving your app from one device to another trough iTunes.
2. How to do restore?
Open your app.
Go into menu->about Tap Fish->restore
Wait that it’s done. It could take a while.
Don’t quite your app before full restore is done. Assure yourself of having good Internet connection before you start restoring.
3. Problems, which can occur while you doing restore.
Be calm and try one more time in a moment. If it still don’t want to restore then please wait till new resources are introduced (new fish, decoration, sale, welcome message, anything) – it usually don’t take longer than 2-3 days.
If it doesn't work, then please contact devs from in your app (menu->about tap fish->feedback), part of your game state data might be corrupted and to get them back help of developers will be needed.
Do never do restore of your app if you ever decided to start over your game (you preferred go back to level 1 and start playing a new). If you restore it’s very probable you would get your old game stat instead of new one. Because your new game will not save to server until you get at least 1 experience point more than you had on this version before you started over (it exists only on your device and not on server). DO NEVER START OVER ON SAME VERSION!!
