It’s more than simple to do that.
You could do that by holding the power button on top of your device and the home button, which you can find in the middle just under your screen, at the same time.
Hold them both until you see the screen go black and the white Apple logo appears.
When this happen you can let it go – your device is rebooting. Don’t leave buttons when you would see “slide to power off” on top of screen.
Rebooting doesn’t remove or delete any data, settings or applications from your device.
