What are trophies and mini-games?

You can access trophies from your menu->trophies

There are several different trophies types:

1. Breeding trophies (breeding trophies)

To be able to play mini-game for this trophies you need to breed all hybrids of one fish, for example all piranha combinations. Once you breed them all you will unlock “play now” button on the right side of the fish listed in this section.

With first unlock of trophy you will get 3 chances to play mini-game, and 1 with every next one unlocking of it (if you unlocked trophy and played it and after that new breedable is added then you can unlock this trophy again for one play if you breed that fish with new breedable).

Mini-game let you pick 3 treasures chest out of 10. You can earn some coins, xp and bucks (max 5), but can have bad luck as well and click on empty treasure chest. Most of time you don’t win bucks.

2. Special trophies (breeding trophies)

Those trophies are unlocking for you mini-games as well, just one mini-game per trophy. We have two kinds of trophies in here.

a) Trophies which require breeding of specific hybrids – 4/8 species (starters collection, unique tropicals, sparkling fins, holiday special)

b) Trophies of fishes bred in events. You need to breed out all 10 possible combinations out from event couple fish. At the moment only save the otters is available to play. (you need them all in your tanks in order to could claim your reward)

3. Extended trophies (breeding trophies)

Those trophies giving special reward after completing it. Or by collecting specific species from store or by breeding new limited breedables in 5 (or 10) possible offsprings. It can be xp, bucks or new species for your collection. You don’t know what will you get until you complete it. All fishes must be placed in tanks (not in inventory) in order for trophy to unlock and let you claim your reward.

4. Limited collectibles (collectibles)

Those trophies let you earn surprise reward (you don’t know what would you get until you collect required items). You need simply be in possession of all listed items in any of your tanks (they don’t count if you have them in inventory). After you have them all you need only claim your reward (from menu-> trophies).

  1. I've bought a Long Finned Ramirezi and an Oriental Sweetlips, which should enable me to breed them for the Oriental Sweetlips & Ramirezi trophy. But neither fish appears as breedable in the breeding lab or mystery lab. Why?

  2. can you see the fish after breeding or do you need to keep them in a tank?

  3. I got everything on the starter fish list but no reward came up? What else is there?

  6. First, as soon as you breed a fish, the two fish who mated are free to be placed into inventory or can be bred again. To clarify, if you have 10 breeding tank, using just two fish you can breed breed breed and fill each breeding tank. What I mean is as soon as the heart goes away and the egg appears, those fish can be bred again.
Second, the starters trophy does not mean to purchase all the starter fish. You have to breed select fish. Click on it to see which fish needs bred with which. The first fish listed indicates which fish you should select first in the breeding tank. Hope this helps!

  7. I'm also having the starter trophy issue. And I spent like 25 fish bucks!

  8. Has TapFish stopped providing rewards/mini-games for standard breedable fish? I have bred the zombie fish and the yellow belly damsel with each of the 57 other breeds, but nothing shows up as a reward.

Also you should update up list of Bred Fish (in teh left column of the page) 7 of the fish in that list have been removed and there are only 58 Breedable fish, not 65.

  9. You don't get the trophy for buying all the beginner fish, you get it for breeding the combinations outlined in the Trophy section. There's 4 combinations that it needs you to breed in order to unlock the trophy. They need to be in your main tanks for the trophy to unlock.
